DBE-LVP |

|
DBE-LVP is a new dibasic ester (DBE) offered by INVISTA for consumer and institutional product applications in the United States. This new product has been tailored to meet the low vapor pressure - volatile organic compound (LVP-VOC) criteria established by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) VOC exemption for consumer and institutional products. Both regulations limit the total VOC content in consumer and institutional cleaning products as well as certain personal care products and automotive aftercare products.
With the new VOC regulations that went into effect on January 1, 2005, in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and D.C and later in 2005 in Maine and Virginia, many manufacturers and formulators are looking for alternative ingredients for their products.
Not only does DBE-LVP meet the consumer products LVP-VOC exemption criteria established by CARB for consumer and institutional products, it also has high solvency, and is highly compatible with many other solvents. It has a mild, fruity odor and is both nonflammable and non-corrosive. It addition, it is classified as readily biodegradable!
